Eremo di San Pietro

It rises in the enchanting hills towards San Giorgio, immersed in the greenery of olive and cherry trees. Born before the year one thousand, thanks to the solitary beauty of the place, it became a destination for hermits starting from the 17th century, and over time it passed from hand to hand among the local nobility. Today, it is entrusted to the Franciscan Fathers and serves as a point of reference for those who wish to experience a life of spirituality and prayer. Inside, it houses two precious relics of St. Peter the Apostle and the Holy Cross. This place belongs to everyone and is for everyone, and for this reason, it demands humility, respect, and an open heart.
Since 2000, it has also been the legal headquarters of the Sankalpa Association, which, based on an agreement, offers economic support to P. Ireneo and the place for some maintenance needs and, through volunteer members, everything that may be needed to preserve this comfortable and welcoming place.
