In the town of Arsiero, today it is possible to visit the Monumental Military Cemetery dedicated to the Gold Medal Pietro Marocco.
It is a cemetery that originated shortly after the First World War and quickly became a place of memory and devotion.
In total, it contains 2173 men, of whom 1130 are nameless (430 Italians and 726 Austro-Hungarians), including the remains of 28 Italian soldiers discovered by two local boys in 1953.
