The archpriest church of San Michele Arcangelo in Arsiero stands on a hill above the main square of the town, and is one of the largest churches in Veneto.
Probably originally built as a chapel attached to the castle and dependent on the parish of S. Giorgio di Velo D'Astico, the current structure was erected between 1761 and 1764. Seriously damaged during World War I, it was subsequently restored with the addition of the De Lorenzi organ from 1847.
It houses the grand altarpiece depicting "The Appearance of San Michele Arcangelo," a work by Albano Tomaselli.
