The Rechsteiner winery is housed in the historic 17th-century building that originally served as a storage facility for the nearby Villa, which at the time belonged to the Bonamico family.
Here, the charm of the ancient beautifully blends with the functionality of the modern: in fact, among the barrels where the red wines rest, we find the latest equipment, essential for winemaking.
The 50 hectares of the Rechsteiner estate's vineyards are located between the municipality of Piavon di Oderzo and that of San Nicolò di Ponte di Piave, and are among the most highly regarded areas of the DOC Venice.
The Villa
The villa is part of a very elaborate site that includes a large sixteenth to seventeenth-century barchessa, notable for its volumetric impact and architectural elegance, with facades typical of Venetian villas. The “romantic” park, equipped with the usual icehouse, is of remarkable beauty and size.
