It is an ancient restored barn, which the writer had restored furnishing it with furniture, paintings, and books brought from Rome. ".... It is divided into two floors: on the upper floor, now the location of the library, was the atelier of the painter Giosetta Fioroni, companion of Goffredo Parise; on the lower floor, the study and residence of the writer. It is in this house that he spent the last two years of his life, and aware of the seriousness of his illness, he decided to donate it to the community of Ponte di Piave. In this regard, he wrote in 1986, on the occasion of the honorary degree awarded to him by the Faculty of Letters in Padua: ".... Perhaps the moment has come that my work as a ridiculous writer should also be placed on a shelf, in that millimetric ossuary that belongs to it." In writing this, he expressed the intention to entrust his art to the future users of the house. The writer's ashes rest in the garden under a copy of a sculpture by Brancusi that he himself designated as the stele of his burial.
