In 1956 the spouses Alessio and Silvia Fabris took over a bar in Mira. The Bar stood in front of the canal and was flanked by beautiful chestnut trees which at the time inspired the name of the restaurant CASTAGNARA. In 1962, Mr and Mrs Fabris decided to move the business a few hundred meters, bringing it to its current location.
The great passion that the Fabris family, especially Silvia, put into their daily business was a huge incentive for the children to follow in the footsteps of their parents. Even today, the 3 brothers Livia, Riccardo and Lorena after more than 50 years carry out their parents' business with the same passion, professionality and sacrifice.
Thus, the small bar first became an Osteria and Trattoria and then a well-known and appreciated fish restaurant, not just for the locals but also outside the province of Venice.
To support the brothers in the management of the restaurant there are also Riccardo's wife (Bruna) with an important role in the kitchen and the son (Nicola) who supports his father and aunts in the management of the room.
To try: traditional cuttlefish and polenta appetizers, cod and moeche (crab).
