This is a closed track, with parabolic curves and bumps, within which one rides a bike without using pedal power, but by pushing with the back muscles, arms, and legs. The movement must be fluid; one must follow the bumps uphill and push with the arms and legs downhill to gain speed. The pump track helps us conquer our fears, teaches us not to touch the brakes in a curve, and to trust our bike and our abilities.
The VELUX PUMP Track is born from the idea of ASD Gruppo Ciclisti Soave and is part of the Soave Open Air project, a project for the redevelopment of public green spaces, chosen and financed by the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group as it perfectly aligns with the Foundation's intentions: to create usable outdoor spaces that encourage sports and socialization.
