Built around 1676 by Domenico Pesenti, the Villa belonged to this family until the mid-1700s. It was bought by the Duodo, a noble Venetian family, to pass to the Trevisanato and in 800 to the Melicki, a family of Greek origin, which, using the work of the famous landscape architect Antonio Caregaro Negrin, enriched the property with the construction of the Park, the Orangeries and Hot Greenhouses (1855 - 1865).
At the beginning of the 900 the Villa was bought back by the Trevisanato who remained owners until the 40s when it was purchased by Dr. Gino Zoppolato. In November 1917, immediately after the retreat of Caporetto, Mogliano Veneto became the headquarters of the Command of the Third Army, operating in the lower Piave, the Villa was then the residence of the Duke of Aosta. The fact is remembered by a plaque placed on the façade of the Villa.
Entering from the large main gate, in wrought iron, you find yourself in the "Italian Garden", with symmetrical shapes, strictly designed and dominated by a large central fountain. The rest of the park has the characteristics of the "Romantic Garden" and extends for about three hectares. The park offers spaces created to look wild, surprise, excite, tell a story ... yours.
