Teatro del Parco has lived in Mestre's Albanese Park for 28 years. Officially opened by the City of Venice in 1992, the theater hosted festivals dedicated to children's theater, amateur prose, contemporary theater, dance and music. It was also an ideal venue for theater workshops dedicated to youth, families and adults.
With the recent renovation of the former civic center, the Park Theater, closed since 2007 for legal adjustments, was also finally able to reopen.
In continuity with its initial vocation, programming has been designed for young people: performances, artistic residencies, workshops, laboratories and matinees dedicated to schools.
The introduction of innovative formats such as La notte a teatro (The Night at the Theater) offered young people the opportunity to experience these spaces in a different way, taking advantage of them even outside traditional hours.
The Park Theater, informal and open by vocation given the close relationship between stage and audience, has quickly become a vibrant and accessible cultural hub, beloved by young people and close to the community. Among other activities, it is home to youTHeater, Bissuola Live, In piedi and also hosts rehearsals of GOM, Young Metropolitan Orchestra.
