With these lines begins a small book “La Ca’ d’Oro or the Palazzo degli Schio in Vicenza” written in 1901 by Don Sebastiano Rumor (1862 – 1929), priest and librarian of the Biblioteca Civica Bertoliana di Vicenza, on commission from Honorable Fedele Lampertico (1833 – 1906), who wished to present it as a wedding gift to the newlyweds Ottavio Folco and Maria da Schio, being a friend of Almerico da Schio (1836 – 1930), father of the bride and “master of the house”.
The da Schio family inhabits its rooms, lives in and enhances the spaces, offering offices and coworking spaces to professional studios, shops for commercial and artisanal activities, locations for events and photo shoots & welcoming Vicentini, travelers, and scholars from everywhere.
