The current institutional headquarters of the Municipality of Calvene was originally built as a school building, designed by engineer Zuccato from Thiene, during the years between 1913 and 1920.
The building was used as a field hospital during the Great War, and once completed, it became the location for schools. Large signs were placed on the roof to indicate to aerial patrols that the building was designated as a medical point.
Today, in addition to being the municipal headquarters, the structure also houses: the municipal library, the post office, and the medical clinic.
Behind the Town Hall is the current elementary school "Caduti per la Libertà".
Facing Piazza della Resistenza is the Monument to the Fallen, in memory of the victims of the wartime events of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
