Villa Zanuso Fontanari
Corso Italia, 101 , Valdagno - 36078
Villa Zanuso Fontanari was built in the second half of the nineteenth century, probably based on a design by the Vicentine Antonio Caregaro Negrin. It is an architectural work with a character that is typically eclectic, featuring elements derived from Renaissance and Palladian forms, creating a facade that is pleasing and harmonious to the eye. In the courtyard, the round-plan belvedere turret deserves attention, attached to a stern building (once used as a warehouse and, on the first floor, as a dormitory for the workers of the silk mill), constructed with white and dark visible stones, rising twisted by a slender, elegant external staircase. Also noteworthy is the very elaborate gate that surrounds the garden.
