Palazzo Festari

Palazzo Festari

Corso Italia,63 , Valdagno - 36078

Palazzo Festari, built in the 18th century in the heart of the historic center, was donated to the Municipality of Valdagno by Lodovico Festari a few years after his death in 1888; in the last years of the 20th century, the building underwent a radical restoration that restored it to its original splendor and returned several spaces for the service of the community. Located on the main street of the city's historic center, it takes its name from the family that had it built by an unknown architect and that inhabited it from the second half of the 1700s. The front façade rises over the Corso and is developed symmetrically in relation to the entrance portal surmounted by a window.
It is likely that the Festari had the elegant palace erected on a pre-existing structure, which included a beautiful garden at the bottom that has also been restored and is now connected to the site of the adjacent "Domenico Dal Lago" Paleontological and Archaeological Civic Museum. In addition to the museum, the palace houses the Informagiovani office and the Municipal Police Headquarters.
Currently, in the central body of the building, there are two conference rooms set up on the first floor and on the second floor is the Conference Hall, which is equipped with a control room with videoconferencing equipment.
Palazzo Festari also houses the Fondazione Palazzo Festari. A foundation that has as its main purpose to provide knowledge, tools, and strategies useful for developing opportunities and paths for economic, social, and cultural growth in the valley and high Vicenza area. In addition to it, the Palace hosts, on the ground floor, the Municipal Police, Informagiovani, and the ProValdagno headquarters.
Palazzo Festari also features a prestigious Conference Hall with a capacity of 150 seats and equipped with a control room with videoconferencing equipment. The “Galleria dei Nani”, in the bright courtyard of the palace, serves as an exhibition space granted upon request by the Municipal Administration for events of public artistic, cultural, or social interest. The premises of the palace also host the “Paleontological Museum D. Dal Lago,” which displays a rich collection of fossils found in the valley in 26 showcases and offers free visits with the accompaniment of a guide.
