The barchesse of Villa Trissino, built in 1567, are the only surviving part of a project by Palladio that was never completed to realize a Venetian villa in Meledo.
The complex has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage list and has recently undergone significant restorations.
There are clearly visible traces of the project's beginning in the stone foundations of buildings along the Guà river and in the two barchesse with Tuscan columns.
There is also a dovecote tower, equipped with chimneys and frescoed with grotesques attributable to Eliodoro Forbicini, a Veronese painter.
The garden next to the barchessa is in the Italian style.
