The parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, originally built before the Year 1000, played a central role in the religious landscape of the time. During the 13th century, the parish had many churches in its jurisdiction throughout the territory.
On the foundations of the ancient parish, in the second half of the 15th century and in agreement with the rural community, the bell tower and the three-nave parish church were built, consecrated in 1488.
The building was completely rebuilt in a single-nave Neo-Gothic style between 1866 and 1868, while between 1892 and 1907 a new slender bell tower, 77 meters high, was added. In 1926, the main altar was erected and the church was consecrated to the Assumption.
Inside, there are two paintings attributed to Alessandro Maganza: the Coronation of the Madonna and the Ascension of Jesus Christ and Saints, both dating back to the early 17th century.
A late 17th-century painted stone sculpture depicts Saint John of Nepomuk, a 14th-century Bohemian priest drowned in the Vltava by order of King Wenceslaus IV.
The altar of Our Lady of Loreto is adorned with a painted and gilded wooden sculpture depicting the Virgin with Child on the roof of a house, alluding to the legend that the house of Mary was transported to Italy by angels.
