Cinema Teatro Cristallo

The building was constructed between 1945 and 1948 based on a design by the Italian architect Querino De Giorgio. The structure's design follows modern concepts for the era. Thin reinforced concrete structures are used to support the entrance portal, the gallery, and the roofing; it is no coincidence that the structural calculator for the work was Prof. Eng. Carlo Minelli – a professor of structural engineering at the Faculty of Architecture in Venice.
The building stands behind a built curtain located in the historic center, separated from it by a large open space accessible via a passage in an under-arch, on the north side of the building there is a large passage, accessible to vehicles from the nearby Via Gasparinetti and to pedestrians from the adjacent historic park of Cà Diedo, a very favorable location as it is easily reachable from various points in the city center, through routes of particular interest from a historical and archaeological perspective. The Cinema Teatro Cristallo, owned by the Municipality of Oderzo, is managed under concession by Opitergina Spettacoli s.n.c.
