The Dune Alberoni oasis is a WWF area rich in biodiversity. The Alberoni Oasis is also called the Dune Alberoni Oasis and is located on the Adriatic coast on the island of Lido di Venezia.
The shores of the Upper Adriatic are areas of great natural interest, present along the migratory route from Africa and along the coasts of the Italian peninsula leading to Northeast Europe. The shores represent the remnant cordon of dunes that has demarcated the extensive lagoon system from the Roman era, stretching from the Po Delta to the Venetian Lagoon, continuing to the valleys of Caorle and the lagoons of Marano and Grado.
The territory of the Alberoni Oasis borders to the east the basin of the Venetian Lagoon, where the coastline is about 2 km long and fans out from the seawalls towards the southern tip of the Lido di Venezia.
