A full day immersed in the unique nature of Laguna Sud, on foot and aboard our boats, inspired by traditional Venetian style.
9:15 a.m.: Meeting in Valle Cornio.
9:30 a.m.: We start with a full immersion in nature, walking among the shady canals and the remarkable ponds of “Giarona”, the lesser-known area of Valle Averto, a site of community importance and special protection zone for birdlife.
Due to its particular morphology, the area, once used for semi-intensive farming, is characterized by a peculiar vegetation and fauna compared to the nearby WWF oasis. During the tour, a guide will explain the stages and techniques of aquaculture.
11:00 a.m.: After finishing the walking tour, the boat excursion on the Canale del Cornio begins, an ancient branch of the Brenta River, an ideal habitat for numerous bird species.
12:30 p.m.: Stop for lunch at the scenic “La Pettegola”, a historic cabin once used for processing mussels.
Located in front of the enchanting Casone di Valle Zappa, this structure offers a unique panoramic view of velme, barene, and the ruins of old casoni.
The unique menu will be fish-based, and tables and benches will be available on-site.
About 3:00 p.m.: after lunch, the navigation continues towards Valle Figheri to admire the characteristic “Casone Labia” and the Torre della Padovana, historically used for spotting birds.
About 5:00 p.m.: return to the starting point in Valle Cornio.
Throughout the excursion, both on foot and by boat, an experienced guide will explain environmental characteristics, stories, and curiosities of the lagoon and fishing valleys.
