The Miana Serraglia farm manages the first fishing valley in the southern lagoon of Venice. In this valley, they implement traditional farming techniques that follow the growth cycles of the fish without intervening with the addition of feed. In this environment are bred sea bream, sea bass, different types of mullets and eels.
Growth occurs according to the natural cycle without forcing the times. For example, a sea bream weighing about 400 grams takes two years after sowing to be placed on the market. The diet is completely natural: the sea bream feed on mussels present in the valley and crabs; the sea bass feeds on mullets specially sown as groundbait.
Fishing is done manually in a limited period of the year, when the fish feel the natural need to overwinter. All this is aimed at increasing the quality of the catch. Our fish is then distributed locally by some wholesalers who have decided to reward quality in the sale.
