A special evening in a unique, fascinating and magical environment; where silence reigns supreme and is interrupted only by the chirping of the birds; surrounded by water, the colors of the "barene" (salt marsh) and the splendid vision of the Casone Zappa, which, illuminated at night, is particularly striking. An enchantment and a wonder!
- Meeting 15 minutes before departure at 5:45 p.m.: in Valle Cornio- S.S. Romea, 17 (km. 110) locality Lova (for directions Atn Laguna Sud on Google Maps) free guarded parking.
- Boarding and departure at 6 p.m. – Return at 10 p.m./10:30 p.m.
Departure is on the Cornio Canal, an ancient branch of the Brenta River, along which it is possible to observe numerous species of birds, which on the shallow waters of its bends find food and shelter.
We sail to the characteristic and splendid "Casone di Valle Zappa," in typical Dutch style, where we will make a brief stop for an exterior tour.
We continue to Valle Figheri to admire, again from the boat, the "Casone Labia" and the Padovana Tower, used for bird watching.
We will then reach the stilt house "La Pettegola" where we will stop for dinner (at about 7:30 pm) in a unique and incomparable setting and environment. This is a typical pile-dwelling - once used for mussel processing - and located in front of the enchanting Casone of Valle Zappa. Surrounded by the typical "velme" and "barene" and, in the distance by the characteristic ruins of old valley casoni - typical countryside buildings that housed agricultural workers - it offers a unique and striking view.
The hut currently has no water system so boat toilets are used.
Once dinner is over, we depart and then return to the point of departure (scheduled arrival at 22.00/22.30)
On board, a guide explains the peculiarities of the lagoon and fishing valleys.
Duration: about 4 h 30 min
