It is certain that our lands have been inhabited since prehistoric times, so much so that the Veneti, or Heneti, as they were called in ancient times, when they arrived in Italy, found other peoples who were already settled here: Umbrians, Etruscans, and Euganei, with whom they merged.
That the territory was also inhabited during Roman times is evidenced not only by the coins, cremation or wine urns found in great quantities and in various locations, the roof tiles and building stones bearing Latin inscriptions, the tear vases, the ampoules, and lamps, but above all by the remains of Roman burials.
These and many other discoveries are housed in the large and well-maintained archaeological exhibition in the district of Santa Maria Assunta, curated by the local archaeological group "Mino Meduaco".
