The casone is accessible every Sunday from April 1 to September 30 with a guided tour; it can also be visited by reservation.
The Casone Rosso stands along a tree-lined avenue flanked by the “Fiumicello”, an area frequented by lovers of outdoor sports.
The park of about 3,000 square meters is equipped with barbeques, tables and benches for picnics and parties by reservation.
The casone was built in the early 1900s and was rented out to the Bertelle family until some 20 years ago when the last member, Mrs. Natalina Dolfin widow Bertelle, passed away.
The casone unfortunately suffered such a severe fire in the spring of 1993 that very little remains of the building. The municipality and the province, thanks to the efforts and funds of local people, rebuilt the casone according to the original perimeters and elevations. Recently, the municipality purchased land adjoining the casone, destining it as an educational garden to let know and educate schoolchildren about rural life, plants and the products of the land.
The Casone Rosso can be visited by contacting the Ass. "Gruppo del Cason".
