It is one of the most beautiful examples of neoclassical architecture in the Vicenza area. Commissioned by the rector of the Vicenza seminary, Don Giuseppe Dal Pozzolo, elected to the parish of Montorso in May 1837, it was built in a prominent position between 1840 and 1854 by architect Luigi De Boni. The facade, erected between 1933 and 1935, has an imposing and evocative appearance, adorned with five statues, artistic friezes, and marbles. The interior of the church was completed in 1898 with precious paintings and the construction of four lateral altars, in typical Vicenza neoclassicism, as well as the main altar, whose altarpiece belongs to the ancient church of Colle Fratta: the same is presumed for the panels of the sacristy. Next to the church rises the superb bell tower "with corners featuring robust rustic bosses," about 40 m high, whose construction was completed in 1872. The clock, made of Chiampo stone, is still the one from the bell tower of the old church of Fratta.
