The palace is named after Admiral Luigi Arcangeli, who in 1928 unified for the first time the two towns of Donada and Contarina, giving life to the new municipality of 'Taglio di Porto Viro'. Other palaces owned by the family can be admired in via Livelli and via Badaloni (the latter, now expanded, houses the city hospital).
