Built in the 13th century, it was probably the site of the hospice for the Knights Templar. The structure has been restored several times and currently has a Baroque appearance, while still preserving some traces from the Romanesque period. A true gem of the church is a 23-pipe organ from 1770, modified in 1993 to restore its original acoustic qualities.
Currently, the building is part of the National Museum Collection Salce complex.
