The path of the "Strada della Sbarra" starts near the Church of Canove (where you can park your car) and then takes you downhill, to the right of the cemetery. Then follow the signs for the "graffiti of the Val d'Assa" better known as the "rock engravings of the Tunkelbalt", (not accessible area)
Continue and after about 1,400 meters from the start (about 30 minutes) ignore a deviation on the left (sign for St. Antonle on CAI table) and continue downhill along the main road. At Km 1,5 (from the start) you reach the bottom of the Val d'Assa (altitude m 814) and ignore a deviation to the right towards the Tunkelbalt (or Tunkelbald). Continue past the picnic area and cross the bed of the stream Assa (whose course is barely noticeable and is usually dry).
The road now continues uphill on the right. Follow it and at km 2.4 (50 minutes) you reach the junction where you cross the path that, coming from the right descends from Roana (from the curve of Giacomina) and, continuing left you return through the road "via Pozzo". The path can also be taken starting from Roana (leaving the car at Piazza Santa Giustina), from here you have two alternatives: you can take the road that leads to Pozzo continuing on foot from the center, towards Mezzaselva - Rotzo and turning towards the first road on the left (near Albergo alla Posta), or going back a little, to the "curve of Giacomina", the last bend before reaching the center of Roana. In both cases you go down and you get to the bottom of the valley of Val'Assa and continue along the path and then go up and finish in Canove.
Along the route from Roana to "Pozzo" you can find a capital dedicated to S. Antönle, (Sant'Antonio) similar to that of Canove, recently rebuilt by the Alpine Group of Roana, with an attached plate with photos and explanation of the site.
