The Sieson cave is a natural abyss. Initially, it appears as a cave, but as one ventures deeper, it reveals itself to be a large and immense chasm. The most exposed side is surrounded by a fence and is not dangerous.
Its vastness can be admired by entering the left side, where there is a large hole in the ceiling approximately 6 meters in diameter.
The rocks surrounding it are karstic, like the abyss itself. To reach it, there is an easy path that begins near the Campolongo Refuge; from there, one follows the signs until arriving at the location.
Travel time: 30 min. (Round trip)
There is also a sign near the abyss that reads:
Deep and wide cave, which then descends in a well shape, at the bottom of which there is ice all year round, even though it is continuously excavated and in dry years so much is extracted that it can water the animals of the nearby pastures.
It is the most beautiful of the various similar caves found in these mountains.
