At several points along the chain, there are military paths running parallel both from the northern side of the ridge and the southern side. Such paths were intended by the Military Engineers, who determined their construction as part of a broader complex net of defensive lines, to dominate possible approaches from Vallarsa towards Val Leogra and the Vicentina plain.
A series of works, posts, and tunnels mostly built after the imperial offensive announcement in the spring of 1916, are still visible along the route or just deviating from the main mule path to touch the prominent observation points of evident military interest.
Once you start the path, you ascend towards Baffelan, leaving it behind and continuing towards the Tre Apostoli. You pass several tunnels, observing the landscapes of Val Leogra on the right and Vallarsa on the left, until you finally reach the Forcella del Monte Cornetto (1825 meters).
Here the Climbing Path ends, and you have a choice: to ascend to Monte Cornetto or descend towards the Ossario and Pian delle Fugazze.
How to get there:
Head to Passo Campogrosso. Park the car and walk towards Monte Sisilla, which is not far away. From there, take the beginning of the path, CAI 149, and start climbing the mule path that is the Climbing Path.
