The Church of the Pentecost and the square in front of it, dedicated respectively to John Paul II and the Jubilee, were inaugurated in May 2009.
Inside the church, notable features include the dome mosaic and the bronze-clad columns with bas-reliefs, works by the artist Amedeo Fiorese. The entire space is dominated by a large thermoformed dome made of polycarbonate with a diameter of 19 meters, composed of 126 elements and completely supported by a light metal frame. The Bassano artist Amedeo Fiorese covered the lightweight suspended surface with a mosaic of 480 square meters. The tiles were carefully chosen to create a color gradient that spirals upward towards the central "lantern."
The church has several elements that have marked the history of architecture and seem to summarize, in the complexity of the design, the great and varied tradition of ecclesiastical buildings. Flying buttresses, lantern, and apse characterize the silhouette of the building, while inside, the light dome allows sunlight to filter through.
