The Benedictine monastic complex, which is built against the city walls at the foot of the Rocca hill, was occupied by nuns from 1634 to 1807.
From that moment, it was transformed into a college and became the seat of the municipal schools, maintaining that function until the construction of the new school building.
The church and the attached monastery, after the transformation of the Convent into a school and youth aggregation institute, were known for a certain period as S. Luigi.
Recently, the original name has been restored.
For several years, the complex hosted prestigious Masters organized by CIMBA (Consortium Institute of Management and Business Analysis), a consortium of 37 American universities.
The Convent of Saints Peter and Paul, built in the 17th century for the Benedictine nuns, encloses a square cloister of extraordinary harmony.
On either side of the main door, there are frescoes depicting Saints Peter and Paul.
