Villa Ghirardini

Villa Ghirardini is located on the road that leads up to the hill of Trissino.
It is a noble villa from the 17th century, built in 1683 and enlarged in 1795, with the construction of the lateral additions. It was subsequently restored in 1866. The main body of the building is characterized by a triangular pediment with a circular opening in the center. The lower wing, supported by columns, was used as a carriage storage and shelter for horses. In 1911, the building was modernized and given an exterior appearance in a vague Art Nouveau style.
The upper wing, on the other hand, was used as a factory for silk spinning, since the early 1800s. In the early 1900s, the external facade was revised and given its current neoclassical appearance.
