The library "Mario Rigoni Stern" is located inside the old primary school in Cesuna. It is borned on 20th August 2012 as a "Read Louge" dedicated to "Ugo Bignami", the name of the old school.
It was desidered by Gianfranco and Luciano Valente with the collaboration of Nilla Valente. At the begging the library was composed by only small room, with the books donated by friends and relatives.
Later it has got a lot of success and was inagurated on the 16th July 2013. The library was dedicated to "Mario Rigoni Stern" a famous writer of Asiago.
It is not a public library, but it is total managed by volunteers of "Fronte Sud Altopiano 7 Comuni" association and also by Pro Loco Cesuna.
Today it collects about 9000 volumes thank to many donations of benefactors. "Itinera Progetti" is a publishing company of Bassano. It is a specialist in the history and cultur of Veneto region and donated a series of volumes in the catalogue and many books' shelves.
For pubblic lending, the most wide section is the narrative with many recent and old books, outside catalogue. There are also works and essays on the First and Second World War, but they are only for internal consultation for their difficult availability.
Finally it is possible to find many pubblications of the Asiago Plateau, various encyclopaedias, DVD and videos about different topics.
