The British Military Cemetery of Magnaboschi is located in Magnaboschi in Cesuna. You can easily reach it by taking the signs for Cesuna and then once you reach the village turn in the direction of the kubelek refuge. Shortly before you find the Capital of San Antonio and from there take the path that reaches the Cemetery. (about 100 m) British troops, like French troops, were sent in November 1917 after the famous meeting of Rapallo which sanctioned the removal of Luigi Cadorna as Chief of Staff. After a winter without major changes, in 1918 the British soldiers were the protagonists in the defense of the territories west of the Plateau, especially during the desperate Austro-Hungarian offensive of 15 June 1918.
After the War it was rebuilt as other similar in the Highlands, by order of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission which also follows its maintenance. The land on which they arise has been donated by the Italian people to the British and are in effect extraterritorial entities. The area is bordered by a fence, where you can see the tombstones, all in stone, arranged in an orderly manner on both sides. Each plaque shows the details of the soldier and the date of his death. At the end of the central avenue there is a large stone cross. In each of them, under the large stone cross, is the epigraph chosen by Rudyard Kipling "Their name liveth for Evermore" (their name will live forever).
