The parish church of San Benedetto in Malo was designed by the architect Luigi De Boni and built between 1840 and 1878. De Boni presented two projects to the authorities of Malo, and the better one was chosen, while the other was executed in Montecchia di Crosara. During the same years, De Boni was also building the churches of Santorso, Novale, and Montorso. The one in Malo is the most beautiful; it is the result of a long architectural experience, intensely lived with a firm and tenacious adherence to the Palladian creed. The facade, like that of Montorso and Novale, is a personal elaboration. Four giant order Corinthian columns support the triangular pediment and form the deep compositional scheme of the facade.
On the altars and walls is a series of paintings, expressions of the most renowned masters of the Venetian Academy, such as Molmenti, Roi, Busato, Grigoletti, and Zona. In the sacristy, there are canvases coming from the churches of San Benedetto, Santa Maria del Castello, and San Bernardino, such as the Altarpiece of the Assumption by De Pieri, those of Saint Anthony, Saint Cajetan, and The Slaughter of the Innocents by G. Carpioni, and the precious Annunciation by G. Apollonio, son-in-law of Jacopo Da Ponte known as il Bassano.
