The Romantic English-style garden survives as it was originally laid out. Measuring some 20,000 m 2 , its noteworthy trees include: near the centre of the grounds, a huge Himalayan cedar, with numerous stout branches spreading from near the base of the trunk; close to the watercourse that marks the boundary of the garden, a Japanese Pagoda Tree and a Bald Cypress.
Furthermore, the great variety of plants and shrubs has created a micro-environment for a whole range of birds and a number of animals typical of this plain-land area (including foxes). The grounds have both native and exotic plant species, which flourish in this fairy-tale landscape.
A stroll through the grounds is particularly attractive in the spring and autumn.
