Liceo Artistico e Museo della Ceramica e del Design

The union between the Museum of Ceramics 'Giuseppe De Fabris' and the Nove Art Institute was established in 1875, facilitated by a generous bequest from the sculptor bearing the same name. This pivotal moment marked the inception of the Museum's history, an exceptional occurrence within an educational institution, now transformed into a Fine Arts High School. The Museum proudly houses one of the most extensive collections of ceramic artworks in the region. Some of these pieces, dating as far back as the 1600s, offer a comprehensive journey through the entire historical trajectory and evolution of ceramics, extending to contemporary creations.

Throughout the years, the Institute has been guided by several Directors, and through the generous contributions of local residents, the collection has been meticulously curated. It showcases a diverse array of items, including ancient plates, sculptures, and contemporary artworks. Additionally, it boasts the outcomes of five international ceramic symposiums, enriching the collection with innovative creations.

One particularly notable addition is Cai Guo-Qiang's 'Chinese Terracottas from the 48th Venice Biennale' exhibition in 1999, a significant highlight within the Museum's holdings.
