Inside, the church has a rectangular plan with a pitched roof, and against the back wall, the altar rises. The altar frames a polychrome image of the Virgin with Child carved from local stone.
The chapel probably belonged, from its origins, to the wealthy family of the Counts Torniero, who owned numerous lands and a rustic property in Montecchio Precalcino. In 1717, Benedetto Torniero sent a petition to the Bishop of Vicenza asking for permission to celebrate Holy Mass in the chapel.
On August 24, 1718, the small church was blessed by the general vicar of the diocese. The chapel became a highly venerated Marian sanctuary by the population, who recommended the crops of the land, the health of the family and animals, and where they would take the oil from the lamp to anoint the sick.
The popular word speaks of graces and miracles obtained through the intercession of the Virgin. On the walls of the church, ex-votos for graces received are still visible.
