The territory of the Municipality of Colceresa offers a network of trails, paths, and municipal roads that are well-suited for creating circular itineraries. Most of the paths are located in the hilly sector, where every turn reveals new landscapes: streams, acacia woods, vineyards, and olive groves alternate along the routes, and when the path reaches the ridges of the hills, the view opens up towards the valley and rewards the climb.
Every hiker can find the most suitable route in the network of trails, and the Municipality of Colceresa proposes four itineraries of varying lengths and difficulty, which are provided on the information boards.
Hedgehog Path:
A scenic route of 3.2 km that starts from the Alpini square in Molvena and leads to the alpini headquarters, passing through the Valderio area and the valley along the Valle del Rio stream, eventually descending back to the square via a panoramic path.
This path can be walked during all seasons of the year, but particularly after rain, it is advisable to pay attention to the sloping sections that may be slippery.
Squirrel Path:
A scenic route of 5.2 km characterized by suggestive landscapes of acacia woods, cherry orchards, vineyards, and olive groves.
Starting from the square in Mason, you take the Stradona path that climbs the slope until you reach the Colceresa path, which leads into the Laverda valley, where it runs alongside the stream. Through the Mariane path and via Costavernese, you eventually return to the starting point.
Along the route, there are two resting areas with benches and tables.
Below are two more challenging routes:
Hare Path:
A route of 11.5 km with an elevation gain of 400 meters.
Starting from the square in Mason, you quickly ascend via the Palazzotto path, where you can admire a spectacular view of the plain. The subsequent descent and ascent through various paths run alongside vineyards and offer a beautiful panorama of the Laverda valley. Following the path finally leads you to the square in Mure, from where you can quickly return to the starting point.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest: Palazzo Scaroni, the church of Mason, the church of Mure, the Hermitage of San Pietro, and the Hermitage of San Biagio.
Deer Path:
A route of 18 km with an elevation gain of 800 meters.
This scenic route starts from the Alpini square in Molvena and, through a series of paths that ascend and descend into the valley, traverses the Valle del Rio, the Piana dei Micheletti, the Valle del Laverda, vineyards, small villages, the Covolo mill, the Soldamare area, cherry orchards, olive groves, and woods.
After passing the Soldamare area, there is a marvelous viewpoint on via Parisoni where, if the day is clear, it is possible to see the lagoon of Venice with the naked eye.
