Distillerie Poli-Museo

The Poli Distillery has been present in the town since 1898, a historic artisan company founded by Giobatta Poli. For four generations the Poli family has been producing grappa and spirits with an ancient still made entirely of copper (among the very few still in existence) with steam boilers, with a discontinuous cycle which allows them to produce grappa and spirits using pomace from local wine producers. In addition to grappa and spirits, liqueurs are produced, with recipes that aim to evoke the family and local history. In the Schiavon structure, in addition to the sales office of the products, there is above all the "Poli Grappa Museum", in which the family wanted to retrace, through an educational journey, the history of distillation and grappa. There is also a second Poli Distillerie museum in Bassano del Grappa, in the historic center a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio. The visit to the Museum is self-guided with texts, descriptions of objects and captions in Italian and English. Interesting videos are projected in the upper room.
